Dr Dre apologises to women he has 'hurt'

Musician, Dr. Dre whose life is chronicled in the film Straight Outta Compton, has not given a specific reason for the apology.
In comments published on the New York Times website he said:"I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives."
A number of women have claimed that the 50-year-old has been violent towards them in the past.
Dre pleaded no contest to charges of criminal battery after a journalist, Dee Barnes, accused him of attacking her in 1991.
In the last week she has published a story about the assault. Michel'le, a former girlfriend of Dre's, also accuses him of violence.
It's impossible to fit 10 years into two and a half hoursO'Shea Jackson JrActor, Straight Outta Compton
In his statement, Dre said that at the start of the 1990s, he was "a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life.
"However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I've been married for 19 years and every day I'm working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. "I'm doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again."
Straight Outta Compton, which is about the early years of Dre's rap group NWA, has been a hit at the US box office.
Critics have accused the filmmakers of shying away from mentioning what happened with Ms Barnes, or from talking about any of the other accusations of Dre being violent.
In an interview with Newsbeat, one of the stars said that certains events were not left out of the film on purpose.
I've been married for 19 years and every day I'm working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the wayDr Dre
"It's impossible to fit 10 years into two and a half hours," said O'Shea Jackson Jr, who plays Ice Cube.
"Everything that is in the film are things that fall under NWA. They didn't have enough time to go towards everyone's individual stories."
Apple has also released a statement about Dre. The company became associated with the musician after buying the company he started, Beats, for £3bn (£1.9bn) last year.
"Dre has apologised for the mistakes he's made in the past and he's said that he's not the same person that he was 25 years ago," the statement said.
"We believe his sincerity and after working with him for a year and a half, we have every reason to believe that he has changed."

The king of Gospel Mixtapes, Kae G Da'Rap2euz is set to release his first album which is a Mixtape Album titled Zeus. The title of the album was formerly known as Rap Zeus but management of Kae G later changed it to Zeus "because it may sound like he's bragging" says his manager. Rihanna: ‘The More We Respect Ourselves The More Men Will Respect Us’

With age (usually) comes wisdom and maturity. And that’s looking like the case for Rihanna who just celebrated her 27th birthday last month.
We can’t help but notice the bad gal’s style, aside from photoshoots, has been less revealing lately and more demure. A few years ago, Rihanna was one of the first big time celebrities to show off lots of skin on her Instagram, posting super sexy pics that would constantly get her in trouble with the IG mods.
The censorship became so bad that the Bajan beauty got mad and took a six-month sabbatical from the picture website after they kept deleting her racy  posts and shutting her page down. But her mark was already made with more and more stars pushing the IG envelope. And when Rih showed up to the CFDA in that Swarovski dress? Everything changed.
So now that being practically naked is the new hotness, the trendsetter appears to be going left. Catch her on the red carpet and our girl is mostly covered up, and the same goes for candid shots. Her video and cover art for “FourFiveSeconds” is just her in big, baggy jeans. No boobs out or nothing.
Did Rihanna have an epiphany?
During the promo run for her new animated movie, Home, Rih touched on her ever changing style which may have something to do with maturity and wanting to be respected.
She said:
The more we respect ourselves the more men will respect us. I have both sides to me and I think most women do. We are strong but they are very vulnerable as well.
Elsewhere during the press conference, she revealed of her new style:
I feel like my image evolves as I evolve as a woman. With growth, there’s change. My style is a reflection of my mood, my attitude wherever I am at, and you can see how it’s evolved since the beginning of my career just from my videos, and style is a huge part of that attitude.
So it’s safe to say her image and attitude demand respect.  It’s  refreshing to see an artist of her caliber talk about respect for oneself when everyone is definitely going in another direction nowadays.
Peep her latest looks below.

Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie’s ovaries and fallopian tubes removed

Actress Angelina Jolie has had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as a preventative measure against cancer.
Jolie said she chose to have the surgery as she carries a gene that gave her a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Two years ago, Jolie, whose mother died from cancer, had a double mastectomy.
“It is not easy to make these decisions,” she said. “But it is possible to take control and tackle head-on any health issue.”
Jolie, who is also a director and UN envoy, will now take hormone replacements.
She elected to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after a check-up which put her in the clear from showing the early stages of ovarian cancer, but showed she still at risk of developing the disease which also killed her grandmother and aunt.

Mahama NOT father of Nadia Buari’s twins – Sidiku Buari

The step-father of actress Nadia Buari, and a former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, has refuted claims in sections of the media that Ghana’s president John Mahama, is father of his daughter’s twins.
Below, what he told Accra-based HITZ FM.
“That’s a big lie. Much as I respect some the media people but some of them are just unbelievable what they put in the papers or what you hear on the radio and the television because in most cases they lie.
“Where on earth did this happen? Where will Nadia say that? In a Spanish radio station, isn’t that funny? Just recently somebody was showing me two pictures of twins which is far from the truth. Which were not the twins that Nadia had.”
Twins father’s identity
“when it’s the time I will let you know.”

Lil Wayne’s Daughter Reginae Young Thug For Naming His Album ‘Carter 6′

Reginae Carter might have learned a thing or two from papa Wayne about calling people out!
The beef is clearly still brewing over at YMCMB and after weeks of speculation, the label’s new signee Young Thug confirmed that he’s most definitely naming his upcoming project, Carter 6. That’s interesting given the fact that Lil Wayne’s Carter V is still stuck in musical purgatory thanks to Cash Money’s head honcho Birdman, who just so happens to be Young Thug’s new mentor and Wayne’s ex-“daddy.”
Of course the announcement left fans scratching their heads and wondering, “WTF?” especially since the shade was thicker than a snicker and the intent was obvious as ever. But the person most upset was actually Wayne’s 16-year-old daughter Reginae. The rap industry princess took it to the tweets to let Young Thugga  know how she felt about his announcement, à la “Mean Girls” style.
The normally coy 16-year-old tweeted out:
Is he trying to be funny with this Carter6 [poop emoji] ? Cause it’s pretty childish to me ! #myopinion
Try again if you’re even trying to get on my fathers level [sleeping emoji]
You have to realize that you can’t force it … Just let it go 100
Listen . I usually stay in a child’s place but that’s my father and I’ll stick up for him no matter what ! It was not to be disrespectful
But you know what . I don’t have to explain myself ! I don’t regret anything and I’ll repeat myself if I have to [kiss emoji]
Behind all the cameras and media , there’s a real family with real feelings….
YOU CANT SIT WITH US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, her mom Toya Wright, who has always been protective of her daughter, responded to the series of tweets with a “blushing face” emoji, to which Nae replied:
@ToyaWright I don’t play about mine [blushing tweet] #Dwayne&Toya
Welp! We’ve found the family’s spokesperson.
The shadiest part about all of this is that due to the timing, the situation can hardly be dismissed as coincidence or paying homage. Not only has Wayne gone public with his frustrations with the label, he also recently dropped a freestyle during a Young Money Cypher, in which he took shots at both Birdman and Young Thug:
“I thank you for my hit man/tell Pac I’m big fan/I sing Dear Mama to my dear mama/and sing ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ to my daddy with his bitch a$$…”
“Young motherf—ing Money / These my motherf—king brothers not my f—ing hubbies.”
In case you didn’t know, Young Thug is infamous for calling his male besties and industry friends, “hubbies.”
Oh, not to mention, Carter is actually Wayne’s last name.
Messy!

Meet TEDxAccra speaker, Efya

Efya (Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor) who performs under the mononym “Efya” formerly Miss Jane is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and five-time Ghana Music Awards Best Female Vocalist, (she won the award twice in 2013 when the Maiden edition of the Europe Ghana Music Awards took place). Efya was born on the 10th of April 1987, in Kumasi, Ghana.
She began her singing career like most, in the church choir, but prior to this, Efya had dreams of a future in filmmaking. Wanting to follow in the footsteps of her mother, Nana Hemaa Adjoa Awindor, a filmmaker who became a celebrity in her own right, as the host of a popular late 90s Ghanaian TV Show, “Greetings From Abroad”.
Efya’s emergence on the music scene didn’t happen until 2006, when she auditioned & gained national recognition as a runner-up in Charterhouse’ Stars of The Future talent hunt, landing her and the winner Irene Logan, a three-year recording deal, with the event company as a duet (Irene & Jane). The group was well received, and recorded an album together: Unveiled, which was released in South Africa. After their contract concluded, Efya, who had until then been performing under the moniker “Miss Jane” decided it was time to reinvent herself as a solo act. So once her contract with Charterhouse concluded and she found herself a free agent once more. She began to juggle playing shows, and recording songs, while reading Theatre Arts Directing & Music at the University of Ghana, Legon.
During this period Efya, almost singlehandedly, amassed a small following before signing with One Nation
Entertainment
in 2011, which took her efforts to new heights. Efya has played countless gigs all over West Africa and beyond, averaging 5 appearances a month. Performing and collaborating with artists from all over the world, Efya’s following has grown by leaps and bounds, both locally and internationally. Her accolades just like her fans come from all over the world as well. TEDxAccra 2015 will take place on April 11 at the National Theatre from 7am to 7pm. It is expected to be the biggest TEDx event in Ghana to date. The theme for this year is “The Next Chapter”. TEDxAccra 2015 is sponsored by Vodafone Ghana and supported by Type Printing, Zepto TV, Voltic Water, Club Minerals, Chale , Quantum Shifts, Generic 7 Consult, Sketch Ghana, Scout Numero Uno, Lancaster University Ghana, Azaliabooks.com, Kwaku David Photography, Cammin MakeOver, Tony Black, Jumia, Citifm, Starr FM, Joy FM, TV3, Business World Magazine, Trap Shoes GH, AmeyawDebrah.com, Pulse.com.gh, enewsgh.com ghanagist.com, threesixtygh.com, Face2Face Africa, Ghana web, 233livenew, LiveOnCampus, Watsuptek.com and Ego Tickets. Chemu Snr High Head in Payroll Fraud?

This stems from the fact that, some heads of state institutions that are to help the Controller and Accountant General’s Department undertake proper validation of staff for the government to pay those really at post have for some reason or the other been working against the system.

Credible information made available to this reporter indicates that Ms. Felicia Assimeng-Kore, Headmistress of Chemu Senior High/Technical School in Tema Community 4 has failed to submit the name of a former tutor to be removed from the payroll.
Pay slips of the former tutor, Robert Aidoo with Staff ID 728893 and Social Security Fund number GO88012280015 intercepted attests to the fact that he continues to be paid up till last year even though he left the country to seek greener pastures in Canada in 2012.

Coupled with that, Ms. Assimeng-Kore, from our sources has falsified her date of birth to prolong her stay in office as Headmistress of Chemu Senior High School.
The Chemu head, according to her records at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) should have been on retirement as of December 23rd, 2012 as the date of birth given to the state agency by her is December 23rd, 1952.
She swore an oath of affidavit in 2012 changing her date of birth to December 23, 1955 and later to 1957 all in her quest to remaining in public service.

The Chemu head, who is said to be a dictator and does not listen to any of her three assistants let alone the teachers between 2010 to 2013 sold admission forms to first year students in spite of the fact the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) forbids heads of schools to do that.
Investigations carried in the school points to the fact that academic performance has been falling ever since Ms. Assimeng-Kore took over as head and our sources attributed that to the divide and rule tactics she has adopted.
The head is also purported to be charging final year students two terms fees before they were registered, charging illegal fees of GH ¢219 from the 2014/15 first year students who were not placed by the Computerized School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) without issuing receipts.

Others are single handedly selecting and filling board members for the school with her favourites, using Chemu Senior High School materials’ to run FEC Academy, also in Community 4, a private schools she owns as well as using National Service personnel posted to Chemu in her private school.
A call is being made to the government, the education ministry, GES, the CAGD and the Economic and Organised Crimes Organisation (EOCO) to as a matter of urgency institute investigations into the allegations to protect public purse as well as restore the name of Chemu to its past glory.

However, when the headmistress was contacted, she admitted the occurrence but indicate she wrote to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) when they first detected the incident but the name keeps coming onto the payroll.
She further explained that, the tutor’s bank was duly informed about the situation. She however expressed no knowledge about the reasons why the name kept appearing in the payroll for payment.

“You see we got to know about this during validation and we reported by writing to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, we also informed his Bank, but the name keeps coming, and why I don’t know,” she said.
In seeking more clarification on this matter, spyghana.com contacted IMANI Ghana since the Think Tank has been very instrumental in exposing some anomalies in the nation’s payroll system.

According to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IMANI, Franklin Cudjoe much is on the Controller and Accountant’s General to ensure that these things never happen.
To him, it is the responsibility of CAGD to expunge any ghost name from the register and that CAGD is not only to pay salaries but also to check and ensure a clean payroll.
He however faulted the GES and CAGD for the mess saying that GES needs to ensure real time account data to be submitted to CAGD which he believes it failed to do.

Gospel Rappers In Ghana

One thing about being a Gospel Rapper is to always Inspire your listeners. Your lyrics can not always talk about God (even though 70% of your lyrics should talk about God), it should let a listener feel connected to God and feel there is hope no matter what. 116 Rappers are always giving hope to the hopeless and educating the uneducated. A rapper like Da'Truth always make a listener feel there is hope. A song like J.I.F.E(Jesus Is For Everybody) by Da'Truth is a song that made many many people feel connected to God.  Thanks to God, the youth of today are beginning to embrace Gospel Rap. In Ghana, we have Regardless, Lil Zig, KingzKid, Jill Bankz, Kay G, Jay Smoke and many more are setting good examples currently. However, in GH, Gospel Rappers only record and share but not enough Christian Programmes. FootPrint TV Help Rappers showcase their talent by Praising God.
