Rihanna: ‘The More We Respect Ourselves The More Men Will Respect Us’

With age (usually) comes wisdom and maturity. And that’s looking like the case for Rihanna who just celebrated her 27th birthday last month.
We can’t help but notice the bad gal’s style, aside from photoshoots, has been less revealing lately and more demure. A few years ago, Rihanna was one of the first big time celebrities to show off lots of skin on her Instagram, posting super sexy pics that would constantly get her in trouble with the IG mods.
The censorship became so bad that the Bajan beauty got mad and took a six-month sabbatical from the picture website after they kept deleting her racy  posts and shutting her page down. But her mark was already made with more and more stars pushing the IG envelope. And when Rih showed up to the CFDA in that Swarovski dress? Everything changed.
So now that being practically naked is the new hotness, the trendsetter appears to be going left. Catch her on the red carpet and our girl is mostly covered up, and the same goes for candid shots. Her video and cover art for “FourFiveSeconds” is just her in big, baggy jeans. No boobs out or nothing.
Did Rihanna have an epiphany?
During the promo run for her new animated movie, Home, Rih touched on her ever changing style which may have something to do with maturity and wanting to be respected.
She said:
The more we respect ourselves the more men will respect us. I have both sides to me and I think most women do. We are strong but they are very vulnerable as well.
Elsewhere during the press conference, she revealed of her new style:
I feel like my image evolves as I evolve as a woman. With growth, there’s change. My style is a reflection of my mood, my attitude wherever I am at, and you can see how it’s evolved since the beginning of my career just from my videos, and style is a huge part of that attitude.
So it’s safe to say her image and attitude demand respect.  It’s  refreshing to see an artist of her caliber talk about respect for oneself when everyone is definitely going in another direction nowadays.
Peep her latest looks below.

Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie’s ovaries and fallopian tubes removed

Actress Angelina Jolie has had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as a preventative measure against cancer.
Jolie said she chose to have the surgery as she carries a gene that gave her a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Two years ago, Jolie, whose mother died from cancer, had a double mastectomy.
“It is not easy to make these decisions,” she said. “But it is possible to take control and tackle head-on any health issue.”
Jolie, who is also a director and UN envoy, will now take hormone replacements.
She elected to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after a check-up which put her in the clear from showing the early stages of ovarian cancer, but showed she still at risk of developing the disease which also killed her grandmother and aunt.

Mahama NOT father of Nadia Buari’s twins – Sidiku Buari

The step-father of actress Nadia Buari, and a former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, has refuted claims in sections of the media that Ghana’s president John Mahama, is father of his daughter’s twins.
Below, what he told Accra-based HITZ FM.
“That’s a big lie. Much as I respect some the media people but some of them are just unbelievable what they put in the papers or what you hear on the radio and the television because in most cases they lie.
“Where on earth did this happen? Where will Nadia say that? In a Spanish radio station, isn’t that funny? Just recently somebody was showing me two pictures of twins which is far from the truth. Which were not the twins that Nadia had.”
Twins father’s identity
“when it’s the time I will let you know.”

Lil Wayne’s Daughter Reginae Young Thug For Naming His Album ‘Carter 6′

Reginae Carter might have learned a thing or two from papa Wayne about calling people out!
The beef is clearly still brewing over at YMCMB and after weeks of speculation, the label’s new signee Young Thug confirmed that he’s most definitely naming his upcoming project, Carter 6. That’s interesting given the fact that Lil Wayne’s Carter V is still stuck in musical purgatory thanks to Cash Money’s head honcho Birdman, who just so happens to be Young Thug’s new mentor and Wayne’s ex-“daddy.”
Of course the announcement left fans scratching their heads and wondering, “WTF?” especially since the shade was thicker than a snicker and the intent was obvious as ever. But the person most upset was actually Wayne’s 16-year-old daughter Reginae. The rap industry princess took it to the tweets to let Young Thugga  know how she felt about his announcement, à la “Mean Girls” style.
The normally coy 16-year-old tweeted out:
Is he trying to be funny with this Carter6 [poop emoji] ? Cause it’s pretty childish to me ! #myopinion
Try again if you’re even trying to get on my fathers level [sleeping emoji]
You have to realize that you can’t force it … Just let it go 100
Listen . I usually stay in a child’s place but that’s my father and I’ll stick up for him no matter what ! It was not to be disrespectful
But you know what . I don’t have to explain myself ! I don’t regret anything and I’ll repeat myself if I have to [kiss emoji]
Behind all the cameras and media , there’s a real family with real feelings….
YOU CANT SIT WITH US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, her mom Toya Wright, who has always been protective of her daughter, responded to the series of tweets with a “blushing face” emoji, to which Nae replied:
@ToyaWright I don’t play about mine [blushing tweet] #Dwayne&Toya
Welp! We’ve found the family’s spokesperson.
The shadiest part about all of this is that due to the timing, the situation can hardly be dismissed as coincidence or paying homage. Not only has Wayne gone public with his frustrations with the label, he also recently dropped a freestyle during a Young Money Cypher, in which he took shots at both Birdman and Young Thug:
“I thank you for my hit man/tell Pac I’m big fan/I sing Dear Mama to my dear mama/and sing ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ to my daddy with his bitch a$$…”
“Young motherf—ing Money / These my motherf—king brothers not my f—ing hubbies.”
In case you didn’t know, Young Thug is infamous for calling his male besties and industry friends, “hubbies.”
Oh, not to mention, Carter is actually Wayne’s last name.
Messy!
